October

Writer: Kate WyattKate Wyatt

No wonder October is called the Golden Month, changes are happening very fast, trees are turning beautiful colours, and I want to be out as much as possible painting and drawing in the countryside. I have launched a brand new product of Open Edition Prints for the Autumn which includes both my live studies of wood mice and berries which I began sketching in and around my studio, I have noted that recently the hawthorn berries have gone from a beautiful scarlet to a deep crimson. Fabulous Autumn. I'm getting ready for three events one with the @parkstrust on 21st October 10-1 a wildlife walk and sketchbook workshop on the 28th October a wild I've walk and sketchbook workshop @westburyartscentre and a major exhibition on the 11th and 12th November at All Saints Church Lathbury this will feature quite a number of new paintings based around the wildlife I have had the pleasure to draw in this lovely local area. There will be prints and cards on sale too as well as being able to see inside this beautiful church dressed for the festive season refreshments available and wheelchair access.
