Watervole early Spring

I was delighted to see a watervole, the original Ratty from the famous story 'Wind in the Willows, sitting in a stream on a small bank eating. I did hear that they love apples. We don't often see watervoles anymore on our rivers. You can volunteer to take part in surveys with different wildlife trusts in Britain and help with the conservation of one of our most endearing mammals.
