Little Owl on Apple Tree

Little Owls are not native to Britain but have been here since the end of the 19th century. They  have adapted well and are not seen as a threat to any other species. They were known as the bird of Athena or owl of Minerva. I have seen quite a few in my local area though not so many as before as they are in decline. I have seen them in quarries and besides rivers locally.
