Barn Owl on the Common

Barn Owl on the Common

£950.00Price

Whilst out on an early evening walk I saw a flash of creamy white and realised I was watching a barn owl who in turn was watching the ground beneath a lichen covered fence post looking for a chance to feed itself or tiny owlet family on mice or voles. I had to draw it as no chance of doing an oil painting from scratch in the fading light, later I found an owl pellet which I took home with me and I must admit haven't taken apart yet to find out what prey the owl ate. Painted in oils on canvas board, size 55x45cms, unframed.
