Young Blackbird

Young Blackbird

One of our fledgled young blackbirds last spring in our garden waiting for it's parent bird to return and feed it, this is a very young fledgling and they are extremely vulnerable to predators although the youngsters plumage offers some protection amongst the surrounding hedges and grasses if it keeps quiet.

Each morning the blackbird is a strong singer amongst the rest of the dawn chorus and has a full fruity sound, at the moment I can hear one who is scolding a cat sitting on top of a shed.
