Leoht

£550.00Price

Leoht - which means translates into 'Light' from the anglo saxon language are one of the hares which have been seen on Chesil Beach in Dorset.

It seems a bit of a surprise that hares are on the beach but it may be that they are able to enjoy a fairly peaceful existence from being constantly disturbed and there are plenty of herbs that they can eat, I drew this hare amongst the beautiful pink thrift which appears in the Spring on the beach.  A couple of years ago one was photographed swimming in the water of the fleet much to the amazement of a nearby herring gull, I would have loved to have been a witness to the event.
