Edita

Edita is very famous and features in 'The Fox Book' by Jane Russ (Graffeg Press). She was a fox who I met in the woods near my studio, I was stuck fast in brambles and lost and she wasn't! We looked at each other for about five minutes then she took the decision to move away and leave me to get on with a painful and embarassing situation. I was still lost by the way...and still stuck on the brambles.
 
The colours of foxes can vary throughout the year, as it is Spring at the moment they look a little duller than they do on a bright winter's day but it's possibly because they have young which they are still feeding and need to keep hidden.
